Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series. Before we dive into our discussion about communication, our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you share with us the backstory about what brought you to your specific career path?

I entered the field of public relations purely by accident, when I’d just completed my MFA at the University of Southern California, was copying my CV at a Kinko’s in Beverly Hills, and ended up chatting with the woman who would become my first PR agency partner. Later, after partnering in a Hollywood management agency to work in film and television, and then spending several years representing Warner Bros.’ digital publishing companies, I went on an extended vacation in Thailand in 2015 and then never really returned. After some ill-fated experiences working for companies in Asia, I set up my own shop again, though on a larger scale than my consultancy in the USA. My agency, Foundeast, does integrated marketing communications across Asia-Pacific, with offices in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, and we also continue to work in the USA.
