1 . Be Consistent-Consistency is key to skincare. Build a routine that is realistic for your lifestyle and something you can commit to. Skin doesn’t usually like “surprises” or suddenly stopping/starting. So start simple and add on only when you’ve been consistent with the current routine and feel ready to incorporate new steps.

2 . Be Patient-Building a quality skincare regimen takes time and patience. Introducing new products takes weeks, sometimes even months, for your skin to acclimate and be able to tell whether it’s the right product for you or not. Be intentional about the products you’re choosing and understand why you’re using it.

3 . Be Aware-So much of skincare is being aware of what your skin is telling you. On a daily basis, make it a point to observe and check in with what you notice happening with your skin. Doing this can make you more in tune with products and lifestyle factors that may either be positively or negatively affecting your skin.
