Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series. Before we dive into our discussion about networking, our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you share with us the backstory about what brought you to your specific career path?

It really came to a head during the pandemic. I had been in the natural beauty and food industry for years and was having to wear a mask every day for work which simply wrecked havoc on my skin. My face was inflamed with itchy red bumps, acne was cropping up which hadn’t been an issue for me before, and my skin was incredibly dry and flaky. Add these skin issues on top of the tell-tale signs my skin was aging such as the crepey winkles I saw around my eyes, sun damage from years of basking in the sun, and overall dull, uneven skin tone. I tried multiple products but became increasingly frustrated when they either made some of the issues better while making others worse, had to remember to apply what when (I literally wrote in sharpie on products to help remind myself) and all of the money spent on trial and error — which honestly would have been worth it if I had found something that had worked. I realized I was looking for something that healed my peri-oral dermatitis, maskne, brightened my skin, faded my sun spots, moisturized my skin…
