Ok, thank you for that. Let’s now jump to the primary focus of our interview. What are your “ 5 Things Anyone Can Do to Have Healthy, Radiant, Flawless Skin”?
1 . Hydration — Water! We all need adequate daily water consumption to keep our skin hydrated, this means drinking at least 6–8 glasses of water a day. Well hydrated skin is smooth and bright. This is not to be confused with moisturizing because depending on your ethnicity and skin type, over-moisturizing can be problematic.
2 . Sunscreen — The fairest to the deepest melanated skin all need sunscreen, everyday. There is a misconception that if your skin is tan or brown, sunscreen is not needed but that is a myth. Even if skin does not burn, it is still absorbing harsh UV rays that will eventually present signs of sun damage in various ways (fine lines, dryness, dark spots, etc). The amount of spf commonly found in makeup or moisturizers (spf 15) is typically not enough especially if a lot of time will be spent outdoors, so extra sunscreen is recommended. Overcast days are no exception because UV rays can penetrate through clouds. My general rule is that if you leave your house, you need spf.
